Ashley Chico competed against other brilliant students with amazing ideas across the nation. Ashley was chosen to be one of the six finalist to pith her idea to a panel of four judges that judged her idea based on creativity, feasibility, and usefulness.
So what was Ashley’s great Idea that made her the national champion? Ashley’s idea is a program that will help patients translate their information verbally into an electronic registration form. This idea would help eliminate the use of an interpreter, lost revenue, and solve a huge problem that exist within the medical field. Ashley’s grand prize will consist of her receiving the opportunity to work with lead innovation firm “Fahrenheit 212” for 11 weeks to develop a virtual prototype and a business plan that includes:
– A 10-page pitch deck
-A video/virtual phototype/rendering
-A roadmap with next 3-4 steps
-A list of potential partners (with one or more introductions)
